Dr. Steve Meller

Dr. Meller is now an Entrepreneur, Venture Capitalist and Board Advisor after successful careers in the Corporate (18+ years in Executive positions) and Academic World (17+ years in research and scientific Academic  positions).

Dr. Meller is currently the managing Director of Creating Dots, LLC where he has built a portfolio of sustainability companies with a strong focus on the developing world that address some of the key issues facing the planet today – water pollution, air pollution, solid waste and affordable energy storage. He has hand-selected these portfolio companies because they use disruptive approaches to changing the world in which we live – for the better. He is either the Founder, sits on the board or advisory board of each of these companies. Each company addresses markets that are well in excess of $10 Billion today.

Previously, Dr. Meller spent 18+ year career at P&G. He held various R&D roles in Health Care and was ultimately responsible for the Global Health Care Technology and Clinical organizations during the first half of his tenure at P&G. For the remaining 9+ years, he was the Chief Innovation Catalyst where he had two key responsibilities: (1) defining the leading edge for the global open innovation programs at P&G and (2) shaping and defining the technology strategies for P&G’s global sustainability program.

Dr. Meller is originally from Adelaide, South Australia. He received his B.Sc., B.Sc. (Hons.), and PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Adelaide and studied as a postdoctoral fellow and was on the research faculty at the University of Iowa, Department of Pharmacology for 6 years.
