Dr. Mary McNevin is the Chief Learning Officer of Signature HealthCARE. Signature HealthCARE is a long- term health care and rehabilitation company with 143 locations in 11 states and nearly 24,000 employees. Signature Learning earned “ATD Best” Awards in 2014 and 2015 and an Excellence in Practice Award in 2015. Signature HealthCARE has been named “Best Places to Work in KY” in 2014 and 2015 by the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, and was nationally awarded by Modern Healthcare in 2013 and 2015. What makes Signature special is the organizational culture, which is founded on three pillars: Learning, Spirituality, and Intra-preneurship. Dr. McNevin’s focus is on driving enterprise change and accelerating learning in order to radically change the landscape of long-term care forever.
Prior to joining Signature HealthCARE, Dr. McNevin was the VP of Talent and Organization Development at McCain Foods Ltd. During her 12 year tenure at McCain, Dr. McNevin launched the company’s first global learning center which was recognized by Corporate University (CorpU) Xchange for Excellence and Innovation at CorpU’s 2011 Global Leadership Congress. The McCain Learning Centre team also received an Exemplary Practice award in Leadership Development and an ASTD Excellence in Practice Citation which program recognizes exemplary practices in workplace learning and development.
McNevin earned her doctorate (EdD) in Work-based Learning Leadership in an interdisciplinary program from the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education and the Wharton School of Business. Her dissertation focused on Executive Coaching in the C-suite. Dr. McNevin also holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and a M.S. degree in Education from the University of Pennsylvania.
Outside of McCain, Dr. McNevin serves on the Board of Directors for the Association of Talent Development (ATD), the Advisory Board for the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of GSE/Wharton executive doctoral program in Workplace Learning. She has also served on the Public Policy Council of the American Society of Training and Development, has been an ATD BEST awards reviewer.
